The Institute

The Institute of Mathematical Economics (IMW) is one of the central institutions of Bielefeld University. It stands for interdisciplinary research in Mathematics and Economics and related fields such as Biology and Linguistics.

The institute's research centers around mathematical economics in a broad sense, covering areas as Game Theory, General Equilibrium Theory, Operations Research, and Mathematical Finance.

The location of the IMW is on the top floor (V 10 and W 10) of the main building of Bielefeld University.
